Dr. Karim Crow(International Institute of Advanced Islamic Studies)

    Yesterday, I met Dr. Karim Crow, who is a Principal Research Fellow at International Institute of Advanced Islamic Studies. He graduated from the Depertment Islamic Studies in McGill Univ. The institute he works is located near University of Malaya which is the oldest Univ. in Malaysia. He lectures Islam and Arabic there. The photo is taken in his office.

    Three years ago, he came to Japan and gave fabulous lectures about Islamic Philosophy in Univ of Tokyo and Osaka University. My special Adviser, Prof. Shigeru Kamada in Univ. of Tokyo, was his roommate when he studied in McGill, so he arranged some of them. I have not listened his lecture, but I have wanted to meet him.

    I had been losing my way to go to his institute for one hour, so I was late for his appointment although I left my room three hours ago. He told me various stories, and gave me his unpublished book. It will make my research advanced. Furthermore, I bought a book titled "Hadith Methodology." I read Jami' al-Bayan written by Tabari, so it will help me inshaAllah.
