カイロ・ブックフェア2013

１か月あった冬休みもあっという間に過ぎました。１月半ばはカイロ市内でも気温が１０℃以下を下回り、かなり寒く感じる日が続きました。隙間風がすごいので仕方ないのですが。
カイロのブックフェアでは、色々と必要な文献を入手しました。本を眺めているだけでも勉強になりますし、カイロにいるからこそできることなので、大変良い課外勉強でした。
One-month winter break passed soon. Temperature in Cairo in the midst of January was under 10 degree centigrade, so I felt cold too much. There is no way to prevent wind from the gap of the window. 
I got various books in the Cairo bookfair. Just staring books is good studying, moreover it is possible that I stay in Cairo. That was great field work. 

また、１月２５日は昨年の「革命」記念という雰囲気とは対照的に、混乱と反発というイメージが象徴的でした。１月２５日以降、毎週金・土曜日にはデモが行なわれており、大使館から注意喚起の連絡が来ています。
By the way, January 25th, in contrast of celebration of "revolution" in the last year, was represented by the image of confusion and opposition. After 25th, there has been demonstration on every Friday and Saturday. Embassy sends us the email to be careful.

日本の友人たちは、アフリカでの邦人殺害のニュースやデモの様子を見ているため、エジプトは危ないというイメージを抱きつつあるようです。観光客も激減しているようで、外貨の獲得が困難になりつつあります。その影響は外貨への両替が困難になりつつあることからも明らかです。
Friends in Japan come to have the image that Egypt is dangerous because they watch the news of murder of Japanese and demonstration in Africa. Because of sudden decreasing visitors to Egypt, getting income from abroad seems to be difficult. The influence can be seen in the exchange of Egyptian pound to other currency.

今後のエジプトは、忍耐強くないエジプト国民をいかにまとめあげていくかが課題なのだろうと思います。
I think Egypt from now has task of uniting Egyptian people who do not have enough competence.
